Smiling older man with gray hair, wearing a blue striped shirt, against a white background.

My first love was drawing. I dreamed of flying. Science was always a part of my life. My dad introduced me to model aircraft by building Carl Goldberg kits. We flew control line and early RC. I became a falconer. I studied architecture but made my career in marketing. I took full scale glider lessons as well as competed in model soaring contests, even at the NATS. Married my wife, Janet Groeber. Got my Sanctioned AMA CD. We purchased a home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, finally I got an architectural education which led to the U.S. Green Building Council.

I’m chair of the local Earth Day Festival which is why I chose the Earth Guardians as my camp at 2016 Burning Man “DaVinci’s Workshop”, where I displayed the DaVinci Flying Machine 19' wingspan sculpture I created, and learned about the music of Öona Dahl. I help the Contemporary Arts Center meet their 2030 District pledge to reduce energy use 50% by 2030. I was invited to sail to Europe on the Clio. Zero Carbon became a lifelong goal. ‘Real Amber Cox’ introduced me to Artificial Intelligence. I got my Certified Fight Instructor Glider license.
