I started flying model airplanes at 10 years old (I’m 70 now!). Began with control line planes for a couple of years and then wanted more freedom from the circle. My first RC airplane was a rudder only push button control with a rubber band escapement. In my twenties I moved up into giant scale RC planes and been flying them ever since.
I belong to the Roscommon aeromodelers in Michigan and have just been voted to be President of the club this year! We are in the process of finalizing a 20 acre flying field for next year which will allow us to begin having AMA events.
