Each year, a one-day celebration is held to celebrate the hobby that we all know and love: model aviation. Established more than 10 years ago, National Model Aviation Day was created to encourage clubs to celebrate our hobby and share it with the public.
This year, the AMA Foundation is excited to announce that National Model Aviation Day 2026 will be celebrated on Saturday, August 22!
On this celebratory day, AMA clubs and hobbyists across the globe are encouraged to host club and community events, share model aviation with those in their communities, and, most importantly, enjoy the thrill of flight!
